Join a team that's All Kinds of Useful

At Origin, being useful is more than a tagline - it’s how we approach work every day. As a collective, we’re a team that thrives on finding better ways, working together, and owning our impact. From powering homes to delivering award-winning internet and helping to lead Australia’s energy transition. If you’re driven by purpose and excited to be part of something bigger, we’d love to have you on the journey.

About the role:

You’ll be the hands-on leader driving day-to-day maintenance execution — setting the plan, sorting priorities, and making sure jobs are scoped, resourced and delivered properly through the Work Management System (WMS). You’ll be visible on the floor, managing risk, lifting team performance, and pushing defect elimination and continuous improvement to keep the plant running right.

Key Responsibilties:

  • Run the daily maintenance game plan — set priorities, allocate resources, and deliver safe, reliable outcomes
  • Own execution in your area and ensure work meets approved scope, procedures and standards
  • Drive WMS discipline — scoping, estimating, prioritising, scheduling and material readiness
  • Lead safety from the front — WHS compliance, permit-to-work and stopping jobs when it’s not right
  • Build a strong crew — lead, coach and develop employees, apprentices and contractors

What will you bring?

  • Maintenance experience in power generation or heavy industry
  • Proven frontline leadership in a high-risk operational environment
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling and execution
  • Safety-first mindset with solid WHS and permit-to-work experience
  • Relevant trade or engineering qualification and Cert IV in Frontline Management (or equivalent)
