About the role
As a Senior Electrical Plant Technician (Level 2), you’ll be directly responsible for maintaining safe, efficient plant operations on a gas turbine site, safeguarding the technical, environmental, and commercial integrity of the asset. You’ll execute routine and corrective maintenance, support gas turbine outages and projects, and play a key role in permit-to-work and contractor supervision—always with safety at the center.
Key responsibilities
- Champion HSEC compliance, ensuring all work aligns with legislation, standards, procedures, licences, and permits.
- Execute routine and corrective maintenance to keep plant operating safely, effectively, and efficiently.
- Lead and support PTW activities (Permit Acceptor/Authorised) and manage contractors, including during major gas turbine outage works.
- Troubleshoot plant issues and conduct fault finding.
- Contribute to outages, minor projects, and continuous improvement, including incident root-cause investigations, MOC, and supporting site/capital budgets.
What will you bring
- A current electrical trade license.
- Proven experience in SCADA systems operation and strong capability with CMMS.
- Hands-on involvement in shutdown planning and minor project management, with a strong delivery focus.
- Demonstrated skill in incident investigations, Management of Change, and working within Permit to Work systems.
- Strong technical literacy—able to interpret diagrams and technical drawings, with solid problem-solving skills and Microsoft Office capability.
- Excellent communication and flexibility, with a C Class licence.
