About the role

 

Join the Talinga team to ensure the safe operation of Integrated Gas assets, including coal seam gas compression facilities, water treatment facilities, pipelines and utilities. Using your superior and extensive technical experience, you will make a difference in our Queensland operations.

 

The purpose of the position is to safely maintain Integrated Gas assests, including compression facilities, water treatment facilities and site utilities to ensure equipment is safe, available and optimised. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Mechanical Maintenance of Water Treatment Facilities, Water Pipelines and Utilities
  • Pump and rotating equipment preventative maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Gas engine driven power generation routine maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Identify opportunities to optimise maintenance, production, improve safety and lower costs
  • Take ownership and develops intimate knowledge of plant and facilities
  • Work with other mechanical, multi-skilled operators and I&E technicians to ensure equipment is being optimised
  • Working within Safe Control of Work process (SCOW)
  • Identify and improve process safety compliance and performance.
  • Adheres to Operational Risk Assessments for over-rides, inhibits or deviations
  • Support incident investigations and emergency response.
  • Participate in after hours on-call roster for overnight plant trips

 

About you

 

Considered self-aware and motivated, you will have a positive attitude, able to work independently and are delivery focused. You will be a good team player with good communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills. You will also have the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a broad range of people across the organisation, especially with site operation personnel. Plus, you will be able to implement change and work in an agile environment, taking a high level of ownership.

 

Essential requirements 

  • Mechanical / Plumbing trade
  • Pump, Valves, Reverse Osmosis and Membrane systems experience highly regarded
  • Experience with a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS), preferably SAP
  • Positive safety culture and awareness
  • Current driver’s license and willing to travel
  • Good written and verbal communication skills 
  • Good computer literacy  
  • Experience with working within a Permit to Work System
  • Sound understanding of Health Safety and Environmental practices

Desirable requirements

  •  Cert II / III in Water Industry Operations will be highly regarded
