The Role

This role sits within the Workplace Strategy & Leasing team which is positioned in the Shared Services Property and Travel Group which also includes Workplace Services, Project Management, Operational Services and Travel Services. 

In this role you will be accountable for execution of the endorsed strategic plans for the LPG portfolio through management of property acquisitions, divestitures, renewals, rent reviews and reporting on Origin’s LPG property portfolio. The portfolio consists of leased, and owned properties, licences and permits located throughout Australia. 

Reporting directly to the National Manager, Workplace Strategy and Leasing you would be responsible for:

  • Briefing external consultants to source and divest property assets as and when required
  • Briefing external consultants in the preparation of premises requirements and lease documentation
  • Co-ordination of the internal governance of lease documents
  • Negotiation of contractual and commercial terms with Counterparties on behalf of internal stakeholders
  • Preparation of briefing documents for approval of property transactions by Management
  • Maintaining records related to the LPG property portfolio within Origin’s lease management system

Is This You?

You’ll need to be able to work autonomously, proactively and build effective working relationships with stakeholders. You must also hold qualifications in property, procurement (category management in property), or have relevant equivalent experience.

You’re experienced in and possess:

  • Knowledge and experience in commercial or industrial lease management and negotiation
  • Sound administrative skills and good analytical and reporting abilities
  • Highly organised with ability to engage in and deliver multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, including both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate across various levels of the organisation and with both business and technical subject matter experts
  • Ability to interpret and provide commentary on analysis and the associated commercial impacts with a high-level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
  • Proactive approach to issue resolution with a strong solution orientation
  • Demonstrate initiative and the ability to both manage own output and work effectively in a team environment
