About the role
We are seeking a Land Access Negotiator to join our high-performing Access team. The Access team is responsible for timely delivery of access agreements such as Conduct and Compensation Agreements, Water Agreements and Make Good Agreements. The Access team is also responsible for maintaining access to land post agreement execution maintaining landholder relationships, working closely with Asset Services and Operations teams and managing issues as required.
The engage will be an initial 14 month contract role.
More about the role:
- Develop and execute negotiation strategies and compensation offerings for individual landholders that meets Upstream Delivery Process timelines and within the Upstream Compensation Framework.
- Working with the Land Access Lead, Agreements Advisors and Stakeholder Liaison team to deliver access across the Asset.
- Leading the negotiations and the negotiation team which produce the Conduct and Compensation Agreements and other agreements as required in accordance with Origin principles and legislative requirements.
- Builds and manages relationships for life of operations of an asset (conception to completion)

More about you:
- Proven relevant experience.
- Degree qualified preferably in Law, finance, commerce or business
- Proven strong negotiation and conflict management skills, ability to influence without authority.
- Significant experience negotiating agreements.
- Good knowledge of legal aspects relevant to the CSG industry and land access
- Excellent business acumen demonstrated strong analytical and creative thinking ability.
- Multi-tasking and ability to handle pressure while working under tight deadlines.
- Able to work independently and as a team player, working with own team and across teams.

- Knowledge of rural industries
- Strong project management skills
- Skilled mediator with the ability to develop and deliver solutions to complex business issues
