About the role

The Bulk Delivery Driver position is responsible for the effective and safe delivery of LPG to domestic and commercial customers. You will engage in road tanker filling and discharging, as well as cylinder deliveries and hose attendant duties as required. Your focus on safety and compliance will be critical in meeting customer needs while maintaining our high standards of service. This role involves working across a fortnightly rotating day and night roster, with additional Saturday shifts as needed.

In this role, you will participate in safety activities, including HSE meetings and incident reporting, while effectively utilising our invoicing and delivery systems. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within a dynamic work environment that prioritises safety and customer satisfaction.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Safely operate LPG tankers in accordance with statutory requirements and Origin Energy's HSE policies.
  • Perform line haul deliveries to terminals, major customers, and tanks throughout Sydney.
  • Manage the accurate and timely loading and unloading of LPG tankers.
  • Conduct regular vehicle checks and maintenance, ensuring all safety equipment is operational.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to manage delivery schedules and customer orders.
  • Report any customer site defects or safety hazards and handle customer complaints effectively.
  • Participate in safety activities, including emergency response drills and incident reporting.

 

What you will bring:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical or operational driving role, ideally involving hazardous substances handling.
  • A National Heavy Vehicle Driver's Licence (minimum Class HR) and Dangerous Goods Licence.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and respond to customer concerns.
  • Competence in using technology for delivery and reporting tasks.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure, especially in emergency situations.
  • Willingness to undertake out-of-hours work and overnight travel as required.
