The Role

Based at our major hazard facility at Port Botany in NSW, Origin Energy is currently seeking 2 permanent Bulk Delivery Drivers to provide effective & safe delivery of LPG to domestic and commercial customers.

Working in a small team environment, you will play an important role in Origin's LPG Distribution process while helping to maintain the consistent quality of service to our customers.

In line with this key objective your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform daily/weekly/monthly checks of assigned vehicle as per Origin Energy operations procedure
  • Strictly observe and comply with all Origin Energy Health, Safety & Environmental policies
  • Strictly observe and comply with all RMS, Safe Work and EPA policies
  • Undertake all relevant training and development as directed by Origin Energy
  • Assist with all facets of NSW Operations to optimise efficiency
  • Safe and timely delivery of product and customer placed orders
  • Loading/Unloading of Bulk LPG within and outside of a terminal as per Origin Energy Operations Procedures
  • Liaise with the Terminal Manager to optimise the efficiency of tanker operations and customer service within the area
  • Respond to after- hours calls - On call roster – fortnightly
  • Day & Night shifts required on a rotating roster
  • Some weekend work is required on a roster basis

 

Is This You?

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • A current Driver's License with MR endorsement
  • Dangerous Goods license would be highly advantageous
  • Previous experience in the LPG or fuel industry would be well regarded
  • A willingness to learn, a strong work ethic and a passion for safety

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate the ability to maintain a calm and focused disposition during busy, noisy or emergency situations. You will possess strong written and verbal communication skills which will allow you to liaise with internal and external stakeholders effectively as well as perform any clerical duties as required. You will have several years’ experience in a factory, warehouse or other technical and/or operational environment with a key focus on safety.
