THE ROLE
The primary purpose of this role is to provide strategic direction and operational leadership to the Bulwer Island Major Hazard Facility. As well as liaising with major project stakeholders and external parties to ensure safe and productive output through the facility.
This role will also be responsible for:
- Leadership and Coaching: Provide clear and consistent leadership across Bulwer Island sites, coaching team leaders to enhance their effectiveness.
- Operational Performance: Monitor and control operational performance metrics, driving continuous improvement in growth, financial outcomes, safety, risk management, and assurance.
- Safety Management: Serve as the appointed Safety Manager for Major Hazard facilities at Bulwer Island Storage and Riverside, ensuring compliance with internal and external audits, licenses, and regulatory bodies.
- Customer Focus: Maintain a strong focus on both internal and external customers, communicating effectively to meet their needs.
- Project Planning: Assist in framing and planning major projects within the terminal to align with strategic objectives.
- Change Management: Anticipate changes, risks, and results necessary to achieve business objectives, responding proactively to emerging needs.
- Operational Improvements: Identify and implement operational improvement projects, collaborating with external stakeholders, including government representatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively across business units to develop and execute effective strategies that enhance the safety and productivity of Bulwer Island sites.
- Problem Solving: Analyze and resolve cross-functional issues to ensure seamless operations.
IS THIS YOU?
We are looking for a candidate with strong experience in people management and managing a Major Hazard Facility.
You will have:
- Demonstrated experience in managing and leading teams in a high profile / complex environment
- C Class Drivers license mandatory
- Engineering Degree and Management or MBA Degree highly desirable
- Experience leading cross-functional problem solving and project delivery
- Experience leading leaders in the disciplined execution of production and maintenance plans
- Strategic planning and delivery
