About the role:
The Technical Business Analyst plays a key role in translating business needs into data-driven solutions, working across multiple initiatives within the Data & Analytics team.
Leveraging strong data skills, particularly in data warehousing and Amazon Redshift, this role will support the design and delivery of scalable data products and pipelines.
The role requires close collaboration with stakeholders, clear documentation, and a strong focus on enabling effective data solutions that align with business outcomes.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Gather and document technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with SMEs and business teams.
- Manage and prioritize backlogs, facilitate sprint planning, and support agile delivery processes.
- Lead and oversee data delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
- Support data solution design and analysis for data warehousing and pipeline products.
- Develop and maintain clear documentation, including requirements, operational guides, and UAT plans.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication, workshops, and change management.
- Support governance, security, risk/issue management, and operational transition activities.
Skills & Requirements
- Hands on experience in data warehouse projects acting as a Technical Business Analyst in an Agile environment
- Proficient in SQL/NoSQL and experienced with data platforms such as Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery, and BI tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
- Strong knowledge of data and analytics processes, including ETL development and integration of data from multiple sources.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex datasets, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and proactively address data-related issues.
- Self-motivated, collaborative team player with a proven ability to quickly learn new domains and provide regular updates on progress.
