At Origin, we’re on a mission to get energy right for our customers, communities and planet. We’re looking for a Search Engine Optimisation Specialist to join our Marketing team and play a key role in shaping how customers discover and engage with our products online. 

 

About the role 

As our SEO Specialist, you’ll lead the development and execution of SEO and generative search (GEO) strategies, helping to drive organic growth across traditional search engines and emerging AI platforms. 

You’ll take ownership of optimising web content, improving site performance, and enhancing how our brand appears across search and AI-driven experiences. This is a great opportunity to work at the forefront of SEO, AI and digital performance in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. 

 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Develop and execute SEO and generative search strategies to improve search engine rankings, drive growth across AI platforms and maximise organic web traffic  

  • Optimise website content and structure to ensure best-in-class search performance  

  • Leverage AI tools to enhance SEO workflows including keyword research, content optimisation and performance analysis 

  • Conduct technical SEO audits, including web crawls and indexing issue resolution to identify opportunities and remediate website issues 

  • Partner with content teams to ensure content is optimised for both search engines and AI platforms  

  • Monitor and report on SEO performance, rankings and emerging search trends  

  • Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and drive continuous optimisation  

 

About you 

You’re a data-driven and curious SEO professional who enjoys staying ahead of digital trends. You bring both technical expertise and a strong understanding of content, with a passion for improving customer experiences through search. 

You’ll bring: 

  • Strong experience in SEO (on-page, off-page and technical)  

  • Exposure to AI-driven SEO tools or generative search platforms  

  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog and analytics platforms  

  • Solid understanding of content optimisation and website architecture  

  • Experience using data and insights to drive performance improvements  

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams  

  • A proactive mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement  

 

Nice to have 

  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS or JavaScript  

  • Experience with tools like Looker Studio, Tableau or Adobe Analytics
