About the role:

The Senior Technical Business Analyst/IM is a key member of the technology team, responsible for delivering business analysis at the highest standard and setting the benchmark for analysis capability across the function.

 

Senior Technical Business Analysts lead requirements elicitation, manage stakeholder relationships, drive decision-making, and mentor junior team members, often overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.

 

This role also plays a strategic role in uplifting the overall capability of the Business Analysis team by promoting best practices and excellence across all projects.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

 

  • Lead requirements elicitation and analysis sessions with stakeholders to capture and align business needs with project objectives.
  • Document high-quality business requirements, including functional/non-functional requirements, user stories, use cases, and process flows.
  • Maintain traceability of requirements across project artifacts and ensure alignment from initiation to delivery.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and facilitate effective communication and collaboration across business and technology teams.
  • Oversee changes to requirements, assess impacts, and ensure proper documentation, approval, and communication.
  • Mentor and coach junior analysts, fostering skill development and best-practice adoption within the team.
  • Drive quality assurance, risk management, and continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and project outcomes.

 

What will you bring?  

 

You are a confident Senior Business Analyst, Iteration Manager, or Scrum Master with extensive experience delivering multiple projects in Agile environments within large enterprise organisations. Furthermore, you will demonstrate:

 

  • Strong understanding of multiple analysis techniques, project delivery methodologies, and Agile frameworks.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex initiatives and achieve outcomes in dynamic, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Skilled in coaching and mentoring junior analysts to build capability and promote best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering practical, value-driven solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective business relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience championing ways of working to improve processes, efficiency, and project outcomes.
