About the Role
AI is transforming the way organisations operate, and at Origin we're committed to ensuring it delivers real value for our people, customers and business.
We're looking for an experienced Senior Manager – AI Enablement to lead the strategy, governance and enterprise-wide adoption of Artificial Intelligence across Origin. Reporting to the Head of Data, AI & Automation, you'll shape how AI is embedded into the organisation—driving productivity, innovation and responsible AI practices while ensuring our people, processes and platforms are ready to embrace the next generation of enterprise technology.
This is a rare opportunity to build Origin's enterprise AI enablement capability from the ground up — partnering closely with, but distinct from, the teams driving customer-facing AI products and embedded data science/ML.You'll partner with executive leaders, technology teams and business stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities, establish governance and operating models, and scale the safe adoption of AI across one of Australia's leading energy companies.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead Origin's Enterprise AI strategy, roadmap and enablement program, ensuring AI investments deliver measurable business value.
- Partner with executive and business leaders to identify, prioritise and scale high-value AI use cases across the organisation.
- Lead the evolution of Origin's enterprise AI platforms and tooling, including Microsoft Copilot, Anthropic Claude and emerging AI technologies.
- Establish and embed Responsible AI governance, ensuring AI is adopted safely, ethically and in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.
- Drive enterprise-wide AI capability through change management, learning programs, communities of practice and executive engagement.
- Build and lead a high-performing team while fostering strong partnerships across Technology, Data, Cyber, Risk, Privacy and the broader business.
- Monitor AI adoption, value realisation and platform performance to continuously optimise outcomes and inform future investment decisions.
About You
You're a strategic technology leader who combines deep technical understanding of modern AI with the ability to influence executives, lead organisational change and translate emerging technologies into measurable business outcomes.
You'll bring:
- Significant leadership experience delivering enterprise-wide AI, data, digital or technology transformation initiatives within complex organisations.
- Practical experience deploying and scaling generative AI and agentic solutions beyond proof of concept into enterprise adoption.
- Strong understanding of enterprise AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Amazon Q or similar technologies.
- Experience developing AI strategy, governance frameworks and operating models that balance innovation with risk and compliance.
- Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and influencing senior stakeholders across business and technology.
- Commercial acumen with experience developing investment cases, managing vendor relationships and measuring value realisation.
- A passion for responsible AI, continuous learning and building organisational capability in an evolving technology landscape.
