About the role:

Due to an internal promotion, we're looking for our next the Application Security Engineer who will works hands-on to implement and maintain security controls across the software development lifecycle. 

This role will identify, triage, and remediate vulnerabilities while collaborating closely with development teams to embed secure coding practices and improvements.

Through hands-on work and developer support, you’ll help build high-quality, secure software while growing your expertise in application security.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Drive the implementation and operation of security tooling within CI/CD pipelines (e.g SAST, SCA, DAST, secret scanning, container security)
• Participate in security code reviews and provide guidance on secure coding practices
• Support developer security training, workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
• Assist in security incident response, investigating events and supporting remediation
• Maintain and optimize security tool configurations to improve accuracy and reduce false positives
• Stay up to date with emerging vulnerabilities, trends, and best practices in application security
• Document findings, remediation guidance, and reusable security patterns across teams

Skills & Requirements

• 5–8 years’ experience in software development, security engineering, or a related technical field
• Strong understanding of application security principles, OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, and secure coding practices
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, Go) and ability to read multiple languages
• Familiarity with application security tools such as SAST, SCA, or DAST scanners
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain security concepts to developers
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging security threats and technologies
