About the role

Join the Employee Services Team at Origin Energy and be part of a dynamic and supportive environment where your expertise in Injury Management will make a significant impact. We empower our team members to drive positive change by providing expert advice and coaching to leaders and employees, influencing senior leaders, and actively contributing to continuous improvement.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of worker’s compensation, and income protection claims, including complex cases across all major Australian jurisdictions
  • Support the coaching and upskilling of other Injury Management specialists
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the Injury Management service offer, to ensure deployment of scalable, simplified, and standardised processes.
  • Facilitate the timely and sustainable return to work of ill and injured employees
  • Coordinate with employees, leaders, insurers and our Health & Safety Team to provide support and implementation of return-to-work strategies. 
  • Coach and guide employees and leaders in Injury Management and Workers Compensation practice 
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders. 
  • Provide required data and statistics for monthly safety reporting and claims reviews.  
  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure claims management strategies are implemented, the timely delivery of exceptional customer service and cost-effective outcomes.  
  • Ability to deliver face to face training (physical and mental health initiatives), as required.
  • Provide consistent, timely and credible claims and mental health advice in response to enquiries.

 

What you will bring?

You will love helping people, with a focus on injury management and mental health. You will communicate well, advise and coach different stakeholders, and work cooperatively. You will see opportunities in ambiguity, embrace change and like working in changing environments. With an extensive in-house Injury Management background, you will plan and organise well, and prioritise easily and smoothly. You will also:

  • Hold qualifications in a mental health associated Allied Health Profession
  • Extensive in-house experience working on complex cases
  • Be rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator trained.
  • Have working knowledge of relevant legislation across
  • Track record of working in a customer-focussed environment where the emphasis is on customer service and continuous improvement.
  • Have working knowledge of Psychosocial Hazards and trauma informed practices
  • Mental Health First Aid trained
