About the role:

Join Origin’s LPG business in a senior role that sits at the heart of commercial performance and customer operations for a market-leading energy portfolio across Australia and the Pacific.

This role gives you end-to-end ownership of financial insight, billing, collections, fulfilment, and operational performance - driving better decision-making, stronger controls, and improved customer outcomes at scale.

You’ll lead large, diverse teams, influence strategic initiatives, and shape the future of LPG operations through technology, process improvement, and strong commercial leadership.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a high-performing onshore and offshore team, fostering a positive, inclusive, and compliant culture aligned to Origin’s values.
  • Own operational performance across customer operations, managing incidents, risks, and remediation to ensure strong governance, compliance, and customer outcomes.
  • Act as the SME and relationship owner for customer fulfilment channels and third-party providers, ensuring effective delivery and regulatory compliance.
  • Establish and maintain robust reporting and insights frameworks to monitor process health, quality, and continuous performance improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement through data-driven analysis, identifying opportunities to enhance customer experience, efficiency, and risk management across billing, collections, hardship, payments, and refunds.
  • Support and deliver change initiatives, including business cases, UAT, implementation, and the introduction of new products and services with minimal customer and operational impact.

What will you bring?

  • Degree qualification in business, commerce, accounting, marketing, or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven operational and commercial experience within a large organisation, with strong understanding of business drivers and back‑office or contact‑centre environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels, build strong relationships, and communicate with clarity in both written and verbal formats.
  • Strong analytical, numerical and conceptual capability, with high attention to detail and the ability to translate insights into effective business decisions.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams through change, applying change‑management principles, and fostering a collaborative, high‑performance team culture.
  • Highly organised, self‑managing and adaptable, with the ability to work independently, take accountability, and adjust quickly to emerging priorities.
