About the Role:
As the Metering Assurance Lead – Deployment, you’ll play a key role in ensuring Origin’s metering rollouts and deployment obligations are met with precision and in full compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. You’ll be part of the Networks and Metering team, supporting operational excellence and compliance across metering service providers, systems, and processes. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement, managing risk, and supporting change initiatives across the metering landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support for metering rollouts, including complex scenario solutioning and provider guidance.
- Lead the development of processes and reporting to ensure compliant and efficient meter deployments.
- Support Kraken metering journeys and reporting via Tableau and other tools.
- Analyse and administer metering services to meet industry protocols and customer needs.
- Represent metering as a subject matter expert on major change initiatives and risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and support Metering Provider & Meter Data Provider obligations, ensuring alignment with SLAs and contracts.
About You:
- Strong experience in electricity/gas metering regulations, market data, and third-party service obligations.
- A strong assurance mindset to governance, risk management, and continuous improvement.
- Skilled in data analytics (Advanced Excel, SQL) and business risk assessment.
- Proven ability to lead change initiatives and implement process improvements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across internal and external teams.
- Deep understanding of industry protocols (e.g., National Electricity Rules, MSATS, B2B transactions).
- Self-reliant, solution-focused, and able to manage complex issues independently and collaboratively.
