About the role
As Metering and Revenue Assurance Manager, you’ll optimise hot water metering operations within Origin’s Centralised Energy Services (CES) business. Leading a small team, you’ll balance technical performance, data quality and costs to maximise revenue and support accurate, timely customer billing.You’ll manage service providers, resolve complex metering and billing issues, and deliver improvements that strengthen metering capability and operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Manage metering operations, balancing maintenance, replacement and service costs with performance and financial returns.
- Manage third-party meter reading providers, ensuring reliable, cost-effective services.
- Use data and reporting to identify revenue leakage, performance trends and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate meter and site data across exchanges, retrofits and site updates, partnering with Asset Management, Billing and Market Data teams.
- Lead your team through process improvements and automation, supporting the resolution of complex metering, billing and customer issues.
About you
You’re analytical, technically minded and commercially focused. You enjoy solving business problems, working across teams and turning insights into practical improvements.
You’ll bring:
- Experience improving financial returns and operational performance, with knowledge of hot water systems, embedded networks or energy asset management being ideal.
- The ability to understand technical challenges and resolve complex issues.
- Strong analytical skills, using data to identify risks and guide decisions.
- Experience driving change, continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to guide a small team and manage service providers.
