The Role

The Analyst is part of the Billing and Metering operations team and reports to the Market Data- Team Leader. The Market Data Analyst is responsible for proactively managing performance of third-party suppliers, managing and reviewing data exceptions and understanding metering regulations, contractual and industry requirements. This is for Electricity, Gas & Hot Water.

Responsibilities:  

• Build and manage strong relationships with third party suppliers to improve service levels and drive performance associated with meter data, standing data and services
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
• Monitor and validate incoming meter data to ensure volumes and quality conform with market requirements
• Utilise reporting to identify performance trends from third parties and develop strategies for improvement
• Undertake special data analysis assignments to support Meter Data as well as other stakeholders
• Provide support with Business Improvement initiatives
• Identify and take action to correct errors
• Respond to enquiries from downstream and other users relating to meter and standing data
• Carry out root cause analysis of exceptions and implement required solutions to minimise or eliminate exceptions numbers
• CAD related actions to ensure our CAD obligations are met
  
  

About You
To be considered for the role you will have:  

• At least 2 years’ experience in the Energy Industry
• Experience dealing with third parties, in particular service performance.
• At least 2 years’ experience in data analytics
• Ability to understand and apply Energy Market systems rules and regulations, including, Metrology, Meter Data, B2B transactions and MSATS.
