The Role

This is a unique opportunity to join the Retail Optimisation team based in Melbourne. Reporting to the Group Manager, Retail Optimisation, you’ll be responsible for managing the prioritisation and delivery of the Retail Optimisation continuous improvement programme of work, and leading and developing a team of specialists responsible for driving continuous improvement. 

You will also:

  • Driving the development, implementation and governance of the Retail continuous improvement methodology and toolkit
  • Embed the continuous improvement methodology within the team through training and coaching, ensuring adherence though implementation of governance controls
  • Manage the quality of deliverables through the establishment of quality assurance mechanisms
  • Establish and manage a portfolio of continuous improvement services, including developing and driving capabilities, tools, and techniques that enable the identification, development, implementation and management of improved business processes
  • Program management of the continuous improvement project portfolio, through scheduling and assigning projects to team members, tracking progress of deliverables, managing quality, managing risks and providing necessary progress status reporting to key stakeholders
  • Support the embedment of a continuous improvement culture across the Retail business Assist in the development and delivery of a truncated continuous improvement methodology to support capability uplift and self-reliance of the broader retail business to drive and deliver simplex continuous improvement initiatives
  • Lead and/or support, where necessary, the delivery of large / complex continuous improvement projects

Is This You?

You’ll need to be outcome and customer focussed, able to multitask and be passionate about change. You must also hold qualifications in Business, IT or Process Management, or be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role.

You’re experienced in and have:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading / managing a business improvement team
  • Six Sigma black or green belt qualification or tertiary qualifications in BPM or similar
  • Demonstrated experience of effectively leading complex CI projects and programs with significant change impact across corporate environments
  • Demonstrate practical knowledge of business process improvement methodologies in a corporate environment.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams, engaging and creating an environment of trust and collaboration amongst different teams. 
  • Demonstrated strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
  • Experience in BPMN / EPC modelling notation
