About the role  
This is an exciting 11-month parental leave cover opportunity within the extended leadership team at Origin Zero, focusing on accelerating businesses toward net zero emissions. As the Head of Marketing, you will play a key role in shaping strategies to increase Origin Zero's market presence in the large business energy segment. You’ll drive initiatives that enhance awareness and consideration of Origin Zero’s energy solutions, delivering innovative marketing activities that position the business as a market leader. You will be responsible for:

•    Leadership: Managing a small team of marketing specialists, collaborating with customer, sales, product, external affairs and design to achieve both marketing and business objectives.
•    Strategic Marketing: Developing go-to-market strategies, create content, and driving customer engagement through Origin Zero’s website, PR, and earned media.
•    Customer Engagement & Events: Enhancing the customer journey with compelling content and coordinating impactful events, including client breakfasts, webinars and industry conferences.
•    Customer Insights: Maintaining and utilizing customer insights to improve engagement and increase uptake of lower carbon energy solutions.
•    Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with stakeholders to achieve these outcomes.

About you
You are a self-starter with proven success in stakeholder management and are passionate about helping businesses transition to a net zero future. You will also bring:

•    10-15 years of demonstrated experience in product and strategic marketing roles, including P&L and commercial target management.
•    5+ years of experience leading teams through periods of change and creating a positive and empowered team culture.
•    Strong stakeholder management, written and verbal communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
•    Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. 
•    Demonstrated successful delivery of business initiatives and change programs.
•    Ability to advise and discuss ideas with senior management with confidence, conviction and professionalism.
•    Experience in large-scale matrix organisations.
