About the role:
Working in Internet, you’ll be at the heart of everything we do — working with customers. Reporting to a Customer Operations Leader, you’ll be delivering end-to-end customer service, supporting our residential customers via phone and email across our Internet portfolio.
Gone are the days of customers getting stuck in a never-ending loop of being transferred between departments — you’ll be fully trained in every aspect of the customer experience and able to help with any problem.
This role works on a rotating roster between 8am–11pm Monday–Sunday. You must be available to work across these hours. Initial 8-week training commencing 12th Jan, (hours of 8am-7pm), held in our CBD office.
Why this role matters:
- You’ll be the main point of contact for our customers, helping keep them impressed and excited about Origin Energy being their Internet provider.
- You’ll support customers who may be vulnerable — recognising when additional help is needed, listening with empathy, and providing clear, compassionate guidance to ensure they feel safe, heard and supported.
- You’ll work across the full range of customer service needs including service activation, retention, sales, tech support, billing & payments, complaints, and customer education regarding Origin products.
- You’ll play a pivotal role in helping Internet achieve its growth targets.
- You’ll contribute to Origin’s aspiration of becoming Australia’s most loved Energy/Telco retailer.
What will you bring?
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to talk to customers across multiple platforms including email, social and other platforms.
- Ability to interpret information and data to understand customer queries and solve problems.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies.
- A strong work ethic — Internet Operations is very fast-paced and can be challenging. We’re looking for people who can deal with challenging situations and who take ownership of their future by working hard to achieve their goals.
- While not essential, Telco experience is highly desirable.
