About the role:  
 

Join Origin’s Retail Data & Analytics team as an ETL Developer, where you’ll play a key role in shaping how we harness data to drive smarter business decisions.  

You’ll design and build scalable data solutions that power critical reporting, analytics, and customer applications- all within a modern, cloud-based environment.  

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, build, and test data transformation jobs across large and complex data sets. 
• Develop and maintain scalable data models that support business-critical processes. 
• Collaborate closely with business and technical teams to translate needs into technical solutions. 
• Review and optimise ETL processes, ensuring best practice and performance efficiency. 
• Prepare and maintain documentation, including business requirements and test cases. 
• Contribute to the design and improvement of Origin’s centralised cloud data platform. 
• Support a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and diversity within the data community. 

About You: 

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline. 
• Hands-on SQL experience, preferably with PostgreSQL or Redshift 
• Solid understanding of database design, schema optimisation, and performance tuning. 
• Experience building and orchestrating ETL pipelines with strong error handling practices. 
• Skilled in documenting ETL processes and data models, including entity relationship diagrams. 
• Proficiency in developing engaging dashboards (Tableau or Power BI preferred). 
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for solving complex data challenges and delivering business insights.
