Join a team that's All Kinds of Useful
At Origin, being useful is more than a tagline - it’s how we approach work every day. As a collective, we’re a team that thrives on finding better ways, working together, and owning our impact. From powering homes to delivering award-winning internet and helping to lead Australia’s energy transition. If you’re driven by purpose and excited to be part of something bigger, we’d love to have you on the journey.
Design compliant, high-impact customer communications that stand up to regulation and scale across millions of customer moments.
At Origin, we’re on a mission to get energy right for our customers, communities and planet. Our brand promise, all kinds of useful, comes to life through the way we communicate in the moments that matter most. This role sits right at that intersection, shaping the communications customers rely on to understand their accounts, meet obligations and make informed decisions.
We’re looking for a Content and Experience Designer to join our Customer Communications, Experience and Personalisation team, with a clear mandate to lead content across the lifeblood of our business in managing the credit & collections and other highly regulated mandatory communications .
This is not a passive delivery role. You will operate with autonomy, owning end-to-end content outcomes across regulated communications, balancing compliance, clarity and customer care in equal measure.
What you’ll do
-
Own and lead content across the credit and collections portfolio, partnering closely with Legal, Compliance and operational stakeholders
-
Deliver mandatory and regulatory communications across web, email, SMS and print, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timeliness
-
Translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, customer-first content that reduces confusion and drives the right action
-
Apply UX and behavioural principles to improve outcomes in high-stakes journeys such as arrears, payment support and hardship
-
Ensure all content meets regulatory, legal and accessibility standards including WCAG 2.2 AA
-
Work autonomously to prioritise, shape and deliver content within a fast-moving, high-accountability environment
-
Identify opportunities to improve communication effectiveness, reduce inbound demand and strengthen customer trust
What you’ll bring
-
Proven experience delivering compliance-heavy or regulated communications in energy, telco, finance or similar environments
-
Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex or sensitive information without losing accuracy
-
Confidence working directly with Legal and Compliance stakeholders, navigating ambiguity and interpreting requirements
-
Experience across CMS platforms and structured content environments
-
A pragmatic, self-directed approach with the ability to lead workstreams and manage competing priorities with minimal oversight
-
Solid grounding in UX and content design principles, particularly in service and support journeys
Why join Origin?
-
21 weeks paid parental leave
-
Volunteer leave and Origin Foundation programs
-
Energy discounts and Employee Share Plan
-
A collaborative, purpose-driven culture with real impact at scale
If you can balance precision with empathy and are ready to take ownership of content in one of the most critical customer moments, we would love to hear from you.
