About the role

As Decisioning Intelligence Lead, you’ll use data and analytics to improve credit outcomes across Origin’s customer lifecycle. Working closely with the Principal, you’ll translate customer behaviour and risk signals into segmentation, decision rules and treatment strategies that reduce arrears and bad debt.You’ll partner with business, operations and technology teams to put recommendations into practice, test their effectiveness and refine them—balancing commercial value, customer fairness and regulatory obligations.


Key responsibilities

 

  • Analyse account-level and behavioural data to identify credit risks, payment trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Build segmentation, targeting rules, dashboards and repeatable analytical routines using SQL and available tools.
  • Develop customer treatment recommendations and rules for originations and collections platforms.
  • Design and evaluate controlled tests, measure outcomes and recommend adjustments as performance changes.
  • Partner with delivery teams and maintain clear evidence, data lineage and customer protections throughout implementation.

 

About you

 

You combine strong analytical skills with credit knowledge and commercial judgement. You can explain complex findings clearly and turn insights into practical recommendations.

 

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in credit risk, collections strategy, decisioning or related analytics within a complex or regulated environment.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience analysing customer data to develop segmentation, targeting or decision rules.
  • Capability in experimentation, control-group measurement and portfolio or model performance monitoring.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and an understanding of credit operations, hardship and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with Python, AI/ML, decision engines, AWS or Redshift would be valuable.
