About the role:
 

This role is responsible for supporting the technical implementation of the Enterprise Information Asset Register (EIAR)/ data catalogue tool and providing ongoing support within the Data Governance function. 

 

You will work with both vendor and Origin technical and business teams to connect to data sources within the Origin IT Landscape, scan applications, troubleshoot issues, validate results, and provide general governance advice and guidance. 

 

Why this role matters:

 

  • Lead the establishment of connectivity between systems and EIAR in line with agreed scope post EIAR project completion.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues in collaboration with the vendor.
  • Support the project to BAU transition of the EIAR.
  • Collaborate with Origin teams on the implementation of the Enterprise Information Asset Register (EIAR).
  • Provide technical implementation support to the EIAR project and any BAU governance activities related to the EIAR.
  • Provide post-implementation support, respond to problems quickly and provide both short- and long-term resolutions.
  • Provide end-user support including business data SME queries and requests.
  • Understanding the EIAR requirements through interaction with the boarder project and business teams.
  • Conduct required testing prior to deployment of EIAR to ensure the product meets requirements.
  • Validating/analysing data scans undertaken by the Enterprise Information Asset Register
  • Support the delivery of Origin’s Data Governance Strategy, providing best practice guidance and advice to teams.
  • Work with Business Unit data teams and Business Unit Information Management Owners to ensure compliance of data with the Information Management Directive.

 

What will you bring?

 

You know what great looks like, and you are relentless in your desire to deliver value for your stakeholders.  You will have a strong understanding of Data Governance and IT Security principals and their applications.

 

  • Good understanding of Cloud services especially AWS (ECS, EC2, Kubernetes, Loadbalancer, autoscaling).
  • Strong knowledge of Linux command.
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes.
  • Implementation of Cyber Security best practices/ AWS Security Guardrails around Security groups.
  • Experience with Metadata Management and Business Glossary tools.
  • Understanding of API and Database Concepts.
  • Good understanding connecting scanners to source systems.
  • Good knowledge of Data Governance and Metadata Management principals.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
