About the Role
As a Commodity Product Compliance Lead within our Retail team, you’ll play a critical role in strengthening Origin’s regulatory controls across product go-to-market, renewals, pricing and fees. With a strong focus on Best Offer on Bill (BOB) verification, you’ll use advanced data analysis and automation to ensure customer offers and billing outcomes are accurate, transparent and compliant. Like everyone in Retail, you’ll be driven to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Best Offer on Bill (BOB) verification process to ensure regulatory compliance and billing accuracy.
- Develop and maintain advanced data models, scripts and automated controls using Python, SQL and visualisation tools.
- Perform detailed data-driven quality assurance, identifying anomalies and conducting root-cause analysis.
- Strengthen preventative and detective controls by mapping end-to-end processes and closing control gaps.
- Build dashboards and reporting to track verification accuracy, performance metrics and customer impact.
- Partner with Billing, Pricing, IT, Compliance and Analytics teams to drive continuous improvement and sustainable process change.
About You
You’re a data-led compliance professional who thrives on solving complex problems, strengthening controls and improving outcomes for customers.
You’ll bring:
- Advanced expertise in SQL and Python for large-scale data analysis and validation.
- Strong experience in data quality assurance, automation and root-cause analysis.
- Proven ability to design and embed governance frameworks and audit-ready controls.
- Experience building dashboards and KPIs using tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A tertiary qualification in an IT-related discipline and 5+ years’ experience in data analysis, modelling or engineering.
