About the role:

The Commercial Analyst supports the LPG business by delivering accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and commercial decision support to drive performance and profitability.

This role is responsible for month-end processes, project accounting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial and commercial analysis across terminal, logistics, and NRC operations.

It also contributes to cost optimisation initiatives, strategic planning, and process improvements that enhance business efficiency and control.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage month-end accounting processes, including journals, NRC Zuora closure, project accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare annual budgets and forecasts for Distribution, Operations, and NRC (DON) to support business planning.
• Deliver timely and accurate management reports and insights to key DON stakeholders.
• Partner with stakeholders to review monthly financial performance and provide commercial insights.
• Drive operational performance improvement using logistics cost to serve analytics, thereby optimising the use of the LPG fleet.
• Support business decisions by maintaining national data records, tools, and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Complete ad hoc corporate and compliance requests, including ABS surveys.

Skills & Requirements

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, or Economics.
• Experience in cost accounting and financial analysis.
• Strong business partnering and customer service skills.
• Understanding of operational processes and performance drivers.
• Proven stakeholder management experience.
• Proficiency with SAP, along with experience in Tableau, and Power BI.
• Membership or eligibility for CPA, CA, or equivalent professional body.
