The Role


This role sits within our Business, Solar & Energy Solutions team who are responsible for winning and retaining our large commercial & industrial (C&I) customers. 


The Business Operations Analyst will assist with day to day analytics to support the Business Operations department and is suited to graduate or early-career analysts with a strong numerical, technical and hands-on problem-solving skills.


The role will be responsible for developing an understanding of the designated process area, appreciating the factors contributing to team KPIs and developing ongoing assessments and improvements for the process.


You'll be expected to:

  • Assist in developing and actioning of reporting relating to possible revenue leakage areas and billing accuracy metrics such as timeliness, rework frequency, etc
  • Manual correction of billing errors within Gentrack Velocity system, and identification of error causes
  • Utilise analytics and information derived from manual corrections to assist with direct improvements to systems/process for simple issues and assist with business case development for more complex issues
  • Assist with manual billing calculations for resolution of customer disputes, response to customer queries and verification of automated system calculations
  • Assist with ad-hoc reporting and analytics for compliance, sales/marketing and process improvement.

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate strong attention to detail, be able to interpret data with the ability to draw insights and convert into business actions. This role would suit a recent graduate with up to 3 years' experience looking to develop a Business Analysis career path.


You're experienced in:


  • Bachelor's Degree with strong analytical focus such Business, IT, Science or Engineering
  • Optionally, practical experience equivalent to the above educational qualifications
  • Excellent data management and analysis skills
  • Business Analysis – An understanding of business analysis processes and principles is preferred
  • MS Excel / SQL / Other analytical tools – Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); familiarity with databases and SQL is an asset
  • Ability to work autonomously and to tight deadlines
