About the role:

Now, we're looking for a dynamic individual to spearhead our LPG new business development efforts in the vibrant Newcastle Region.

As a Business Development Manager, you will thrive in a "hunter" role, utilising your skills to achieve outstanding results. Your primary focus will be on winning new business by prospecting and leveraging network referrals across a comprehensive range of energy products and services

Why this role matters?  

• Drive customer growth, expand volume and increase sales margin in the Newcastle region.
• Develop sales proposals and tender submissions within Origin policy & financial decision making guidelines;
• Make strategic decisions aligned to strategic business unit objectives;
• Develop a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting and effective utilisation of the Salesforce Platform for daily sales activity and reporting.
• Generate new business initiatives and recommendations.

What will you bring?  

• Previous sales experience is desirable, but not essential;
• Commercial acumen – strong financial decision making;
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both with customers and the team;
• Resilience - change management experience;
• Ability to think on your feet and be solutions focussed;
• Analytical ability and attention to detail;
• We provide you with the tools and information to succeed;
• Must have a current full Australian Drivers Licence, pass a medical and criminal history check.
