About the role:

 

The Project Manager - Overhauls plays a crucial role in the Maintenance and Overhauls (M&O) Group, reporting directly to the Overhaul Manager. This role is responsible for effectively managing the planning and execution of overhauls within Origin's Gas & Renewables Generation Fleet. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the successful delivery of defined overhauls in alignment with the Origin's business strategy. The successful candidate will possess a proven track record in developing and executing comprehensive programs of work, encompassing all stages from scoping to execution and project closeout.

This is a 12-month opportunity that offers the potential for extension based on future project requirements.

  • Ensuring the Overhaul remains aligned with the business strategy and priorities as defined by the Program Sponsors
  • Conducting planning activities for upcoming Overhauls, including associated projects and monitoring the progress
  • Managing the Overhaul’s budget, risks & schedule
  • Coordinating Projects and their interdependencies
  • Manage HSE performance across the Overhaul phases
  • Managing and utilizing resources across projects
  • Supervising and monitoring execution activities

 

What you will bring?

 

To be considered for this role you will have excellent people and project management skills. 

  • Heavy Industry or process experience (min 5 years)
  • Demonstrated Leadership skills
  • Health, Safety and Environment knowledge
  • Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation skills
  • Good finance and budget management
  • Management of Change
  • Ability to travel for long periods of time (4-6weeks)
  • Ability to manage complex prioritisation of conflicting requirements
