About the role:

Are you experienced in hydro generation and ready to make a real impact? Join Origin’s Shoalhaven team as a Mechanical or Electrical Plant Technician and help keep our renewable energy assets running at peak performance. You’ll be part of a skilled, supportive crew maintaining one of Australia’s key hydro facilities — where safety, reliability, and innovation come first.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, maintenance, and fault-finding on hydro generation equipment
• Operate and maintain plant systems safely and efficiently
• Support and lead outages, overhauls, and commissioning activities
• Coordinate with contractors and contribute to project delivery
• Drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
• Isolations and safe access to plant responsibilities.

What will you bring?

• Advanced Trade qualifications in mechanical or electrical disciplines
• Proven experience in hydro generation operations and maintenance
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team
• Flexibility to support other sites and participate in standby duties
