About the role:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will provide advanced technical expertise to support the safe, reliable and efficient performance of Origin’s generation assets. Working within the Asset Engineering & Digital team, you’ll play a key role in asset management, outage planning, and continuous improvement initiatives optimising plant performance while reducing risk and ensuring compliance.

Why this role matters?

• Provide specialist electrical engineering advice to support plant performance, reliability and safety
• Support outages, maintenance and capital works, including scoping, design review and commissioning
• Lead asset management strategies, condition monitoring, and lifecycle optimisation of equipment
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop solutions to improve performance and mitigate risk
• Act as a subject matter expert, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, policies and procedures

What will you bring?

• Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering (Washington Accord accredited)
• Experience in power generation, heavy industry, or similar environments
• Strong asset management, problem-solving and technical decision-making capability
• Proven ability to lead technical outcomes and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
• Safety-first mindset with excellent stakeholder communication and influencing skills
