About the role:
As a Mechanical Fitter, you'll be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, fault finding and repair of critical mechanical assets across Eraring Power Station. A key focus of this role is supporting the Coal Handling Plant, with maintenance activities involving conveyors, gearboxes, pulleys, rollers, trippers and associated equipment. Working within a collaborative maintenance team, you'll help deliver safe, reliable and efficient plant performance while contributing to a positive team culture and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on conveyor systems and plant equipment.
- Diagnose faults, conduct repairs and complete technical investigations.
- Maintain gearboxes, pulleys, rollers, trippers, frames and associated mechanical assets.
- Follow work management processes, complete inspections and provide accurate maintenance feedback.
- Promote a strong safety culture through risk assessments, JSAs and safe work practices.
What will you bring?
- Mechanical Trade Certificate and post-trade maintenance experience.
- Experience with conveyors, coal handling plant or similar heavy industrial equipment.
- Strong commitment to safety with experience completing JSAs and risk assessments.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a maintenance environment.
- Positive team attitude with a willingness to learn, adapt and contribute to a strong workplace culture.
