About the role:
Join the team who ensure that Eraring Power Station maintenance is executed in a safe, efficient, reliable and cost effective manner.
The Mechanical Fitter provides a range of technical and engineering services to meet Eraring's Business Plan and performance objectives, including engineering projects and technical investigations involving investigation, fault finding, maintenance and testing. The position works with Operators and seeks guidance from Senior Mechanical Fitters and Maintenance Team Leaders.

- Promoting and supporting a safety based work culture as a key component of an effective maintenance effort including risk management of the team’s environment, methods, tools and equipment
- Ensuring sound communication and positive working relationships with all stakeholders
- Maintaining and keeping functional all mechanical systems
- Managing multiple tasks simultaneously, assessing priorities and meeting agreed targets
- Providing technical advice to assist planning of complex jobs including any safety requirements
What will you bring?
- Relevant Trade Course Certificate and Craftsman's Certificate of Proficiency
- Post trade experience
- Willingness to work day or shift work as required
- Knowledge and experience of plant, equipment, materials and maintenance methods used in Power Stations or similar heavy industry
- Knowledge of plant operation, the inter-related effects of plan items and the consequences of plant failure
- Sound knowledge and commitment to safety methods
- Proven prioritising, planning and problem-solving capabilities
- Turbine experinece advantageous
