About the role:  
This role is responsible for leading and executing business and production goals with a focus on safety and efficiency. This role's core function is to provide organisational, cultural, and strategic leadership, supported by substantial industry knowledge and expertise, to fulfill Origin's Purpose in alignment with its Values and Leadership Code. The Late Life Operations Manager also prioritises, plans, and manages all aspects of Late Life Operations to achieve strategic and business objectives. Strong, collaborative relationships are maintained with key stakeholders across the Coal Asset Operations Leadership Team, the Generation & Energy Transition Team, and the broader Energy Supply & Operations Teams—especially the Trading Operations and Gas & Coal Portfolio teams—ensuring that all Late Life Operational activities support reliable and adaptable production outcomes.

Why this role matters?  

• Oversee and guide internal teams and contracting personnel at Eraring Power Station to ensure effective operation and performance.
• The creation and execution of strategies, systems, and processes to achieve safety, reliability, and performance targets for the power station.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with contractors, internal functions, and external stakeholders to optimise plant safety and performance.
• Identify, recruit, and develop talent, support succession planning, and meet diversity targets within the team.
• continuous improvement initiatives, manage risks associated with Late Life Operations, and ensure regulatory compliance and uninterrupted energy production.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop effective relationships with key stakeholders.
• Able to manage difficult personalities/situations to maintain positive relationships. Develops effective working relationships across Origin.
• Industrial Relations, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

• Demonstrated ability to undertake long term strategic planning.
• Highly developed understanding of the principles underlying the operation of the National Electricity Market and the electricity supply industry structure.
• Demonstrated ability to create and manage large business financial plans
