About the Role

As the Eraring Future Use & Property Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the next chapter for one of Australia’s most significant energy sites. With Eraring transitioning away from coal-fired generation, this role focuses on unlocking future opportunities for the site and broader land portfolio. You’ll lead strategic planning to repurpose assets, create a masterplan for post-generation use, and deliver innovative solutions that maximise value while supporting Origin’s clean energy transition.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a property strategy for Eraring and the broader portfolio, focused on post-generation opportunities.
  • Shape and deliver a site masterplan that supports redevelopment, leasing, or divestment aligned with Origin’s future vision.
  • Identify and pursue innovative reuse options that create long-term value and community benefit.
  • Oversee property valuation and market analysis to inform strategic decisions.
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders to secure required land zoning, approvals and build partnerships for future site use.
  • Lead complex property projects from feasibility through execution, ensuring governance and compliance.

 

What Will You Bring

  • Extensive experience in property strategy, asset management, or land development within energy, infrastructure, or large-scale industrial sectors.
  • Tertiary qualification in property, real estate, business, finance, or related discipline.
  • Strong strategic planning and project management skills with a focus on redevelopment and repurposing.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage complex negotiations.
  • High level of commercial acumen and understanding of planning frameworks and regulatory requirements.
  • Extensive experience in stakeholder engagement and management.
