About the Role 

 

This is a hands-on Maintenance Coordinator role supporting plant performance across chemical systems at Eraring Power Station. Acting as the link between planning, operations and maintenance, you’ll coordinate work, prioritise risk, and ensure the plant continues to operate in a safe, reliable and cost-effective manner. 

 

Reporting to the Chemical Maintenance Supervisor you will be working as a maintenance coordinator balancing competing priorities, coordinating resources, and working closely with maintenance teams, operators, planners and the Site Process Chemist to ensure safe and reliable plant operations. 

 

  • Coordinate maintenance activities across water treatment plant systems (pumps, valves, tanks, dosing systems, cooling towersfeedwater and boiler chemical systems 

  • Prioritise forward and backlog work based on plant risk and operational needs  

  • Allocate and coordinate work for maintenance staff 

  • Work closely with planners to schedule and deliver maintenance activities  

  • Monitor plant performance and support operations on plant  

  • Partner with the site process chemist to ensure safe and effective plant operation  

  • Manage cost, resource and budget tracking within your area  

  • Act as a key integration point across maintenance, operations and engineering  

 

This role offers a strong mix of office and on-plant work, with a clear expectation to be visible on site and engaged with the team.

About You 

 

You bring a mechanical mindset and a practical understanding of how plant systems operate, along with the ability to coordinate work and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment.  

 

You don’t need to be a chemist – but you do need to understand plant, people and priorities. 

 

  • Industry experience (trade qualified – fitter ideal)  

  • Experience coordinating work, projects or maintenance activities  

  • Strong understanding of plant systems and how work gets identifiedplanned and executed  

  • Ability to prioritise competing demands and adapt as priorities shift  

  • Comfortable working closely with maintenance teamsoperators and technical stakeholders  

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills 

  • Experience in maintenance management systems (SAP) 

  • Proficient In Microsoft Office and fundamental computer skills
