About the role:  

The Ash Dam Supervisor will ensure compliance with the work management system at Eraring by overseeing the scoping, estimating, prioritizing, and coordinating of tasks, as well as documenting and updating procedures, routines, and asset  history for the Eraring Ash Dam. This role involves developing strategies and improvement initiatives across technical,  resourcing, and continuous improvement areas for the team. The ideal candidate should be proactive, self-reliant, and adaptable to effectively handle the evolving maintenance and operational environment.

 

Key responsibilities?  

  • Develop and monitor the Maintenance Team Plan, track progress throughout the year, and ensure alignment with budget constraints and Origin Energy standards.
  • Coordinate and supervise the activities of contracted work groups, manage maintenance system routines and defects, and ensure work order protocols are adhered to, including detailed scoping and estimating for complex jobs and required approvals.
  • Ensure safety and compliance by upholding Origin Energy’s safety standards, managing safety documentation, permits, and safety instructions, and coordinating job scoping with attention to safety issues.

 

What will you bring?  

  • Non-trade qualification (diploma level) with 6+ years of relevant power station, civil or heavy industry experience, or Engineering or Project Management Degree/Trade qualification with 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience in thermal power station or heavy industry maintenance,
  • Willingness to work day or shift work as required;
  • Experience in leading and promotion of adherence to the work management system at Eraring, including the documenting of procedures, routines, costs and recording asset history;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated personnel management capability; and
  • Civil, Geotech or Tailings Dam experience
