About the role:

Step into a high‑impact role at the heart of Origin’s energy transition. As Ash Commercial Manager, you’ll drive the commercial engine behind Eraring’s push to transform coal ash from a waste by‑product into valuable recycled materials. You’ll lead strategy, shape major recycling initiatives, and unlock innovative opportunities that turn circular‑economy ambition into real‑world outcomes. Fast‑paced, influential, and purpose‑driven—this role puts you in the centre of one of Australia’s most significant industrial recycling challenges and opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the identification, development, and delivery of ash reuse and recycling initiatives, ensuring strong commercial outcomes.
• Manage and optimise ash sales and commercial contracts, including stakeholder engagement, performance oversight, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop business cases and drive innovative recycling technologies and opportunities that enhance resource recovery from Eraring.
• Build and maintain effective relationships across internal teams, industry partners, contractors, and government bodies to support project success.
• Oversee project risks, budgets, reporting, and documentation to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of all ash‑related activities.

What will you bring?

• Extensive operational experience in energy, resources, mining, or heavy industry.
• Strong commercial and contract management capability, including negotiation and supplier oversight.
• Proven leadership experience and the ability to engage, influence, and guide diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Expertise in identifying and delivering recycling opportunities, business cases, and innovative ash‑reuse solutions.
• High‑level organisational, analytical, and communication skills, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and risk management.
