The role

 

In this role you will be responsible for timely delivery of access to land through successful preparation and negotiation with landholders and their representatives. You will play an influential role in providing due diligence support to the project and advising of key landholder or contract issues arising in the approvals process. 

 

You’ll also manage a portfolio of landholder relationships post negotiation from construction to end of operational life.

 

The Land Access Negotiator’s primary role is to:

 

  • Develop and execute negotiation strategies and compensation offerings for individual landholders that meets Upstream Delivery Process timelines and within the Upstream Compensation Framework.
  • Lead the negotiations to  produce the Conduct and Compensation Agreements and other agreements as required in accordance with Origin principles and legislative requirements.
  • Build and manage relationships for life of operations of an asset (conception to completion)

 

This role can either be located in Brisbane (with frequent trips to sites) or Chinchilla.

 

About you

 

You will come with significant experience in negotiating agreements, together with excellent business acumen, analytical skills and the ability to think creatively.

 

  • Degree qualified preferably in Law, Finance, Commerce or Business
  • Proven strong negotiation and conflict management skills, ability to influence without authority.
  • Good knowledge of legalities relevant to the CSG industry and land access
  • Skilled mediator with the ability to develop and deliver solutions to complex business issues.
