About the role:
The Specialist – Master Data is responsible in ensuring that the Procurement Supplier information and associated Master Data is valid and maintained in accordance with Origin’s Master Data governance requirements and supports the ongoing maintenance, integrity and governance of Origin’s supplier master data.
This role plays a key role in ensuring supplier information is accurate, current and compliant with internal processes to enable informed procurement and risk management decisions. It contributes to the operational delivery of the Supplier Governance Framework by supporting the onboarding, validation, and monitoring of supplier data.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the implementation of supplier governance frameworks, ensuring accuracy and consistency of supplier data in SAP Ariba, with regular reviews and cleansing activities.
· Provide first-level guidance on supplier onboarding, align supplier information with sourcing strategies, and facilitate seamless supplier pre-qualification processes.
· Understand and contribute to Origin's strategy by utilising systems for low-cost, automated solutions and actively engaging stakeholders to meet business objectives.
· Act as the technical custodian for ERP data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with master data standards, relevant legislation, and Origin's risk framework.
· Continuously identify and deliver solutions to improve business practices, automation, and spend optimisation across the supply chain process.
· Cooperate and collaborate effectively within the team, building healthy working relationships and sharing knowledge to enhance overall capability.
· Serve as a technical subject matter expert for material master data, guiding and coaching internal stakeholders and procurement teams.
· Actively comply with and promote all relevant Occupational, Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation, ensuring optimal HSE performance in supplier and contractor management.
What will you bring?
You will role model Origin’s values, be self-driven, with ability to be proactive and take initiative. A team player with ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of people across levels, building positive, productive working relationships.
· 2-3 years in procurement operations, master data management, or supply chain support roles.
· Strong working knowledge of supplier lifecycle processes, including onboarding, validation, and compliance, with high attention to detail for data accuracy.
· Proficient in ERP systems (ideally SAP) and experienced with supplier management tools.
· Highly organised, capable of managing multiple data tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
· Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively support stakeholder interactions.
· Demonstrates the ability to follow defined processes, proactively raise issues, and continuously seek process improvements.
· Possesses a proactive, collaborative customer service mindset and takes accountability for work quality and timelines.
· Adaptable to evolving priorities, comfortable with ambiguity, and an enthusiastic team player.
