About the role

A key role reporting to the Program Manager – HSE Strategic Projects is responsible for leading the strategic transformation and governance of Origin’s HSE Management System (HSE MS). This leadership role ensures that HSE processes are optimised, compliant with regulatory requirements, and aligned with the company’s overarching business strategy. The role drives enterprise-wide HSE innovation, overseeing policy development, system integration, and change management initiatives to enhance efficiency, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.

With a focus on long-term sustainability, this role provides management-level insights, influences corporate decision-making, and ensures that Origin remains at the forefront of HSE best practices.

More about the role

• Lead the planning, execution, and completion of the HSE MS Simplification Project, ensuring milestones are met within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Work closely with HSE leadership and business unit representatives to centralise and simplify key HSE documents.
• Oversee the usage of tools, such as ChatGPT, to enhance document accessibility and clarity.
• Ensure the development of a clear document hierarchy (Position Statements, Policies, Standards) and the removal of redundant or non-mandatory content.
• Identify and implement change management strategies to support a smooth transition to the new HSE MS framework.
• Provide project updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment on progress and challenges.
• Support the transition of HSE documents to a centralised, accessible repository, ensuring compatibility with future AI integration (Origin Talk).

About you

You will role model Origin’s values and leadership habits, actively support change initiatives in support of the HSE project. You will be known for your ability to deliver through effective leadership and cross functional collaboration.  

More about you

• 10+ years of project management experience
• Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide initiatives and influencing senior leadership.
• 10+ years of experience in HSE strategy, governance, or management system transformation.
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring junior staff and driving improvements in safety culture.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and ever-changing competitive environment.
• Strong communication skills, lead by example, able to deliver.
• Demonstrated planning and organising skills.
