About the role:


As the Senior Offshore Wind Energy Engineer, you will be responsible for leading engineering activities, such as feasibility studies, consultant and contractor selection, technical assessments, and reviewing contractor and supplier designs to achieve “best for project” outcomes. 

Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure effective coordination of offshore wind projects development while adhering to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

•    Conducting comprehensive evaluations of onshore and offshore project sites, analysing production variables and assessing feasibility
•    Analysing large datasets to confirm site suitability and evaluate project technologies for prevailing conditions
•    Collaborating with Project Managers to develop scopes, budgets, and optimised layouts for new opportunities
•    Staying updated on market trends, and ensure compliance with engineering standards
•    Identifying improvement opportunities, share knowledge, and contribute to engineering policies and processes

 

What will you bring?


•    Significant demonstrated experience in the offshore wind industry, with deep knowledge of offshore wind projects
•    Specific knowledge in relation to at sea deployment and portside requirements
•    Engineering qualifications relevant to the role
•    Strong expertise in feasibility analysis, planning, construction, operation, and maintenance, with an understanding of commercial and technical risk
•    Demonstrated capabilities in technology assessment, selection, concept design, and detailed specification for wind projects
•    Ability to work effectively in a high-performing team or autonomously, with a commitment to continuous improvement and a strong learning orientation
•    Fluency in written and verbal English, along with mentoring and coaching capabilities
•    Onshore wind experience would be highly regarded
