If you’re driven by purpose and excited to be part of something bigger, we’d love to have you on the journey.

About the Role

Reporting to the Group Manager, the Senior Manager – HSSE Shared Services leads the enterprise delivery of contemporary, integrated and reliable HSSE systems, programs and insights that enable safe, compliant and high-performing operations across Origin Energy.
You will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for the HSSE Management System, data and reporting, capability and competency frameworks, enterprise HSSE programs and change communications. Working closely with Business Unit leaders and HSSE SMEs, you will ensure consistent standards, strong governance and alignment with regulatory and strategic requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, roadmap and continuous improvement of HSSE Shared Services, including systems, governance and KPIs.
  • Oversee the design, rollout and optimisation of the HSSE Management System across multiple complex business units.
  • Deliver enterprise HSSE data, dashboards and executive reporting, generating actionable insights to drive performance improvement.
  • Lead capability and competency frameworks, including mandatory training programs and learning pathways aligned to management system requirements.
  • Drive enterprise-wide HSSE programs and initiatives, ensuring effective change management and adoption across the business.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, partnering with senior leaders to embed consistent, compliant and practical HSSE practices.

About You

You are an experienced senior leader with a strong track record delivering complex, enterprise‑wide systems, programs and insights in large, regulated organisations. Your strength lies in building scalable management systems, driving continuous improvement, and enabling leaders with clear governance, high‑quality reporting and practical frameworks. You are highly effective at operating at executive level — translating complex information into clear, decision‑ready insights, influencing diverse stakeholders, and driving alignment across multiple business units. While you understand the importance of health, safety and environmental outcomes, your value comes from how you design, govern and embed systems that enable performance, rather than from deep technical HSSE specialisation.

You will also demonstrate:

  • Proven experience leading enterprise management systems, governance frameworks or operating models across complex organisations.
  • Strong capability in executive reporting, dashboards and performance insights, supporting informed decision‑making at senior leadership and board level.
  • Demonstrated success delivering large‑scale change initiatives, including system implementations, process standardisation and business adoption.
  • Highly developed stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively with senior leaders, subject matter experts and operational teams.
  • Experience building and leading high‑performing multidisciplinary teams, setting clear direction, accountability and development pathways.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with a passion for simplifying processes, improving consistency and lifting organisational capability.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, management, risk, systems, engineering, information systems or a related discipline are desirable.
  • Experience working in regulated, asset‑intensive or operational environments will be highly regarded.
