About the Role

As a Senior Engineer - Network Operations, you'll play a key role in supporting and continuously improving Origin's enterprise network services. Working across operational support, automation and cloud connectivity, you'll ensure our network remains secure, reliable and highly available while identifying opportunities to automate manual tasks and improve operational efficiency. You'll be responsible for maintaining core network services, resolving incidents, supporting change activities and partnering with engineering teams to deliver stable and resilient network services across the business.

What you'll do

  • Support and maintain Origin's enterprise network environment, ensuring high availability and reliable service delivery.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve network incidents, working collaboratively to minimise business impact.
  • Automate operational tasks using Python, PowerShell, Bash or REST APIs to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Support network changes, upgrades and maintenance activities across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN and cloud connectivity.
  • Monitor network performance, identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to ongoing operational excellence.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to transition new network capabilities into production support.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, documentation and operational standards.

 

What you'll bring

  • Experience supporting enterprise network environments in an operational support or network engineering role.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across routing, switching, VPNs, SD-WAN and cloud networking.
  • Experience automating operational tasks using Python, PowerShell, Bash or REST APIs.Exposure to Cisco, Juniper or similar enterprise networking technologies.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines or infrastructure automation is advantageous.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach with a passion for improving operational stability and service reliability.
