About the role:

Join a high‑performing engineering team working across cutting‑edge power generation and process engineering projects. You’ll dive into complex technical challenges, lead design and development activities, and play a key role in ensuring our gas turbine assets deliver on safety, performance, and reliability.

This 12‑month parental leave contract offers the chance to work on significant rotating plant projects, pipeline systems, and noise mitigation strategies — all while contributing to the next generation of energy solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead engineering scoping, design reviews and technical oversight across major gas turbine and power generation projects.
• Develop smart, practical engineering solutions that balance safety, reliability, cost and long‑term asset performance.
• Produce and review technical specifications, cost estimates and engineering documentation for construction and installation activities.
• Support capital project delivery through quality processes, risk‑based decision‑making and stakeholder collaboration.
• Champion continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and new ways to elevate engineering practice.

What will you bring?

You think critically, communicate clearly, and tackle complex problems with a calm, solutions‑focused mindset. You’ll bring:

• Engineering degree (Mechanical preferred; Civil or Electrical welcome) with RPEQ recognition.
• Strong experience in power generation, process engineering, or heavy industry — especially gas turbines and powerplant systems.
• Background in gas turbines, or rotating machine plants, with a passion for improving reliability and performance.
• Experience (or strong interest) in noise mitigation strategies and plant acoustics — a big advantage.
• The confidence to lead technical decisions, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high‑quality engineering outcomes.
• Occasional site travel is required.
