About the role:

As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will lead the commercial growth and business development strategy for Origin’s upstream portfolio assets. In this influential role, you’ll shape investment strategy, manage non‑operated joint venture interests, and drive a robust pipeline of new opportunities that support Origin’s broader energy transition ambitions.

Your work will directly contribute to Origin’s strategic position in the evolving Australian energy landscape. You will:

• Lead the development of growth strategies that influence long-term business value.
• Shape and execute strategic recommendations for major investments and partnerships.
• Build and maintain critical relationships with joint venture partners, regulators, and key industry stakeholders.
• Oversee complex commercial negotiations involving contracts, joint ventures, and asset transactions.
• Provide trusted commercial advice to senior leaders and board-level decision makers.

What will you bring?

• Extensive commercial experience in the energy or oil & gas sector, with deep strategic insight.
• Strong negotiation, influencing and stakeholder-management capability at senior levels.
• Proven ability to lead high-performing, cross-functional teams in complex commercial environments.
• Expertise in economic modelling, opportunity assessment and commercial risk evaluation.
• Tertiary qualifications in business, economics, commerce or engineering.
