THE ROLE

APLNG has significant investments in non-operated joint ventures. These joint ventures range from early exploration prospects to mature, producing fields.

This position supports the management of APLNG’s investments in various non-operated assets and provides strategic influencing capability to maximise value from those assets. As asset owners, the non-operated team is focussed on maximising the value delivered from APLNG's non-operated assets.

The team's mission is to deliver gas supply to the APLNG portfolio at competitive cost, risk and carbon footprint.

Responsibilities:

• Support the development, implementation, and renewal of non-operated JV asset plans
• Understand and proactively manage Origin’s rights and obligations as a non-operator, as well as the Operator’s obligations under the Joint Venture Agreements (JVAs)
• Develop and maintain relationships with the operator and JV partner representatives through both formal and informal channels
• Lead the preparation of business cases and supporting materials to secure internal and APLNG approval of non-operated work programs & budgets including engagement with both internal and external stakeholders as required
• Working with the Principal Commercial Analyst to identify opportunities for improve the production and cost performance of APLNG's non-operated assets
• Support updates to risk assessments, controls and assurance activities related to non-operated asset risks

Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, law or related disciplines.
• Knowledge of Australian oil and gas industry operations including establishment of unincorporated joint ventures.
• Experience in managing commercial contracts or joint venture agreements.
• Stakeholder management and influencing skills including dispute resolution.
• Demonstrable analytical and stakeholder communication skills.
• Understanding of economic analysis including discounted cash flow analysis (Desirable)
• Experience in managing material commercial negotiations and resulting transactions (Desirable)
