About the role:

As a Principal Analyst – IAM Operations, this role will lead the design, operation, and continuous improvement of Identity and Access Management systems to ensure secure and efficient access across the organisation.

 

You’ll provide expert analysis, troubleshooting, and oversight of IAM platforms, driving automation, compliance, and risk reduction.

 

Acting as a technical escalation point, you’ll collaborate with IT, security, and business teams to align IAM services with enterprise security goals and support digital transformation initiatives.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

 

  •        Act as a trusted advisor to business, IT, and security stakeholders, providing technical leadership and guidance on IAM operations.
  •        Oversee the full identity lifecycle, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and access changes, ensuring alignment with RBAC and least privilege principles.
  •        Lead optimisation of IAM systems and workflows, driving automation and integration with enterprise platforms to enhance efficiency and resilience.
  •        Serve as a senior escalation point for complex IAM issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve access, authentication, and system anomalies.
  •        Ensure IAM practices align with regulatory requirements and internal security policies, supporting audit and compliance activities.
  •        Drive continuous improvement through the development of documentation, training materials, and knowledge sharing initiatives across teams.
  •        Identify and implement best practices to improve IAM system performance, scalability, and security posture in support of business and digital transformation goals

 

Skills & Requirements

 

  •        Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  •        Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or GIAC (e.g., GCIH, GCIA, GMON) with strong understanding of IAM and cybersecurity principles.
  •        Deep knowledge of IAM frameworks and standards, including NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, and Zero Trust Architecture.
  •        Experience with regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR, PCI-DSS, HIPAA) and their application in IAM operations.
  •        Advanced IAM tool certifications such as SailPoint IdentityNow/IIQ, Okta Certified Professional, or CyberArk Defender/Sentry.
  •        ITIL or equivalent service management certification, with a focus on continuous improvement of operational processes.
