About the role:

As a Geology and Geoscience Graduate at Origin, you'll build your career working on the subsurface of a major Australian gas business. From day one, you'll be trusted with real geoscience work on active producing fields, working alongside experienced geologists who know the subsurface intimately.

Beginning in February 2027, you'll embark on a three-year rotational program across our geoscience teams, giving you exposure to the full geoscience workflow, from subsurface mapping and resource assessment through to well planning and ongoing field optimisation. As Origin continues to invest in growing our gas business, you'll be part of the team shaping how we develop and produce from our resource base.

Your work could include interpreting geological and petrophysical data, contributing to subsurface mapping, supporting well proposals, and working with industry-standard subsurface and geological mapping software. You'll spend time in our Brisbane office and on-site at our gas operations, getting real field exposure that's rare at graduate level.

What you will bring

• We're looking for curious and analytical graduates with degrees in Geoscience or Geology.
• Ideal candidates will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, confident communication, and a genuine interest in energy and resources.
• You'll be eager to build technical capability across subsurface analysis and reservoir characterisation, and comfortable with field work and short-notice site travel.
• Graduate roles are based in Brisbane, with regular travel to our gas operations.
• You must hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency (PR) to be eligible for this opportunity and be available to start full-time work in February 2027.
